J. Mechelle Reed

Joyce Mechelle Grooms Reed, is President of the San Angelo NAACP.  She is a graduate of the 39th class of Leadership San Angelo, and serves on the Leadership San Angelo Alumni Association Board.  Mechelle is an Academic Coach/Early Alert Coordinator at Angelo State University.  She is the co-pastor at Jesus Christ Church of Ballinger, TX, serving alongside her husband Apostle Mitchell Reed. 

Mechelle holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Political Science and a Masters degree in Criminal Justice from The University of North Alabama, and a Doctorate in Biblical Studies from Bethel Life International Life International Fellowship, British Columbia, Canada.

Mechelle is the mother of two adult children, and she is a grandmother and great grandmother.
